Facelift Surgery: 10 Facts Against Facelift Surgery to Look Younger

Facelift surgery or surgery to parts of the face to look younger, often called a mini facelift has its downside. Before you consider undergoing facelift surgery, let’s look at the negatives. Remember, there are always better alternatives to look younger.

1. There are always risks involved with facelift surgery. Do you want to accept such risks with your looks? Some people with a desire to look younger have been on the receiving end of botched surgery that has permanent repercussions.

2. About 18 to 24 months after the facelift surgery, it’s likely that the procedure will have to be repeated, because the skin will begin to sag again. To look younger with this method is only temporary and “skin deep”.

3. Facelift surgery is expensive e.g. It might cost a minimum of $10 000 to $25 000 to have proper facelift surgery. Most people can’t afford this. To look younger via this method is usually not covered by medical insurance, and payment by the doctor, or clinic, is required in advance.

4. Facelift surgery to look younger does not restore color and improved skin tone.

5. Imagine looking like somebody else – unintentionally? Some people have that surprised look if the forehead skin or skin around the eyes has been surgically pulled too tight! Facelift surgery can change the character, and even the shape of the face.

6. Many patients prefer to look younger, chronologically. This means that they want to look younger over a period of time, rather than suddenly. This is to avoid comments from others. Facelift surgery, even if it is performed in stages, does not really offer this option.

7. By opting for the facelift surgery route, people expect that all their problems will disappear. Generally, people who expect to look younger overnight usually expect all their problems to disappear, too. Facelift surgery does not eliminate stress and day-to-day problems.

8. Don’t ignore the causes of aging. To look younger with facelift surgery does not treat the cause of sagging skin and lines, which is due to poor blood circulation and weak underlying tissue. Cell degeneration, weakened facial and neck muscles, and bad blood flow are one of the main causes of aging. To look younger, one needs to treat these symptoms at a cellular level, rather than pay attention to the top layers of the skin (epidermis).

9. With the scalpel method to look younger, the patient has no control over the process, but has to hand over control to the facelift surgery doctor. Can you be so trusting with your looks? And then there is also the pain, discoloration, bruising, bandages, hospital stay associated with facelift surgery.

10. There are natural energy lines in the body that can be disrupted by facelift surgery, which can interfere with the body’s natural health and rhythm. This can actually defeat the object to look younger with facelift surgery in the first place.

So before you rush out to get facelift surgery, maybe you should first look at the other options such as facial exercises, creams and lotions, and other anti-aging skin care products is a better idea to look younger.

Facial Exercises: The Fundamentals Behind Facial Exercises as a Form of Non Surgical Facelift

Some people don’t believe that a non surgical facelift can be conducted with facial exercises. Here’s why facial exercises performed with one’s own fingertips are not only more effective, but the benefits are virtually permanent.

Before you start a non surgical facelift with facial exercises, you will probably have some forehead lines, crow’s feet along the edges of the eyes, smile lines, sagging skin on the jowls, cheeks and neck. This is due to repetitive contractions of the muscles, or repetitive expressions over many years.

So how can facial exercises assist you to perform your own non surgical facelift?

Consider facial exercises as a form of muscle isometrics. In other words, the underlying face and neck muscles will be exercised to achieve the maximum result with the minimum amount of work, using the body’s own opposing forces.

Skin on the face and neck is attached to underlying muscles and bone. As you age, the subcutaneous fat which keeps the face filled is lost over time. When you use facial exercises as a form of non surgical facelift, the muscle fiber becomes shorter, and so too does the overlying skin attached to that muscle.

By rubbing on the line, or wrinkle, the underlying tissue expands, the muscle fiber gets tighter, and the crease dissipates with time. You might experience a burning sensation as you perform the facial exercises, but don’t be concerned, as this is due to fluid being pumped into the tissue, and not the release of lactic acid as some claim.

So if the muscle fiber is getting shorter from using facial exercises, isn’t it going to create loose, excess skin? No, because the skin contracts with the muscle. At the same time, the underlying tissue is filled, and the skin gains increased elastin. The muscle becomes bigger and tighter, just like at the gym. You don’t see gym enthusiasts with muscles rippling on their stomach with skin hanging on their knees, do you?

Elastin makes the skin more elastic or stretchable. A non surgical facelift performed with facial exercises, works this elastin, which improves the skin’s oxygenation levels.

The underlying tissue is plumped up as the facial exercises are continued. Blood flow is increased to the areas massaged.

Two weeks have passed, and your non surgical facelift is well on its way! Your jowls will lift, and you will have rounder, higher cheeks. Your eyes will appear more open, because the facial exercises will have lifted the wrinkles and reduced the eye bags. And yes, that reminds me - facial exercises practiced on the eye bags will reduce the fatty deposits around the eyes.

The facial exercises will also fade blemishes and spider veins especially around the cheeks and nose due to free radicals or prolonged alcohol intake.

Because this form of non surgical facelift has improved the overall blood flow to the neck and face, your complexion will have improved, and you will enjoy richer color to your face.

Don’t worry. You will not lose facial expression because of the shorter muscle fiber as a result of facial exercises! In fact you could be even more expressive than before you started your non surgical facelift.

So that’s it, guys and gals. For those who prefer to use facial exercises to look younger by conducting their own non surgical facelift – good choice. You will definitely look younger by using facial exercises in as little as 15 minutes 2 to 3 times a week. Who knows, you might look a decade younger within a month from now!

Facial Exercise Techniques: The 2 Main Facelift Without Surgery Facial Exercise Program Categories

A facelift without surgery can be performed by means of two classes of facial exercise techniques. To choose which facial exercise program best suits your facelift without surgery needs can be difficult, as both are just as effective!

Many people, who wish to look younger, are shying away from cosmetic surgery which involves the scalpel, and instead going the “facelift without surgery” route.

This can include changing to healthier eating habits, using lotions, visits to beauty salons, frequenting health spas, or conducting their own facelift without surgery using their fingertips, by following some sort of facial exercise program.

On the internet, there are quite a few facial exercise programs for sale.

When you compare the prices of these facelift without surgery methods to the cost of plastic surgery, choosing a good facial exercise program could be well worth your while, before you spend huge amounts of money. And before you go through all that pain, discomfort, and risk!

If the facial exercise routine doesn’t produce results after a month, or you feel it’s not for you, then by all means, go for cosmetic surgery. At least you explored an alternative means to looking younger before getting the cut!

If you’re tossing around the idea of first trying a facelift without surgery by following a facial exercise regimen, I suggest you take a “before and after” picture. Use the same background and face angle when you take the two photographs, and snap the “after” picture 30 days following the commencement of your facial exercise program.

I suggest 30 days, because this will give the program enough time to produce, or not produce results. Personally, I think you could be pleasantly surprised!

Facelift without surgery facial exercise programs boil down to 2 main classes:

1. The facial exercise stretch method. This entails stretching the skin and underlying muscles in a form of isometrics, using the body’s own opposing forces. I like to call this type of facelift without surgery the facial exercise “vector” category.

Some people call this facial yoga, or facial gymnastics, or facial aerobics.

By using your own fingertips, the facial exercise is performed by stretching the face tissue in certain opposing directions.

2. Stimulating and rubbing the wrinkle and loose tissue with the fingertips. Also the stimulation of the nodal energy point with pressure using the fingers, thereby opening blood flow to the area.

This entails massaging and pressing on the skin and underlying muscle, which plumps and exercises it. I like to call this facelift without surgery the facial exercise “massage” category.

Both facial exercise classes result in the patient shedding years off his or her looks, in a matter of days. Because facial exercise programs treat the causes of aging, and not just the epidermis, they are a very effective form of facelift without surgery.

Wrinkles and frown lines will smooth or disappear, and eye bags are reduced. Sagging skin and drooping jowls lift and firm. Dark ring under the eyes dissipate. There are also many other benefits to the body.

A facelift without surgery is permanent, as long as you conduct the facial exercises frequently to maintain it. Just a few minutes, 2 to 3 times a week, that’s all!

You be the judge. If you wish to look years younger naturally, a facelift without surgery could do the trick. If you choose your facial exercise program wisely, you could be very pleased with the results!
